Sooooo, I ombre dipped dyed my hair this peachy color a couple of weeks ago, but it washes out pretty quick.

I basically need to do anything to my hair right now to keep me from cutting it!

Soooo, I’m re-ombre-ing (yep, totes made that word up) it…

This is what it looked like before…

The only photos I have, sorry…as you can see from the top one, it fades pretty quick.

Now that I’ve done that, I kinda just wanna dye ALL of my hair some faded orange color.

I probably will.

P.s. I’m pretty sure this is the closest thing to “sexy” you’ll ever get from me on a blog, so there’s that…(excluding that last photo, of course).

Man, I love me some Photoshop.

Just playing around when I woke up, right before getting into the shower.

When I stay at my mom’s I pretty much live in a robe (since that is the only time I don’t have to be anywhere!)…any robe…well, not JUST any robe, but fun, fancy, vintage robes.  I love the idea of posh robes for house lounging.  It makes me feel dressed up without actually brushing my teeth and showering :/  Anyhow, I will always wear robes around the house…strictly beautiful robes though.  I’m not a big fan of gross pajamas.  My mother used to wear these gorgeous Japanese and Thai robes when I was a little girl.  Her boyfriend (at the time) would bring them back to her after traveling with the Navy..or Air Force…who knows really, I was like 7.  She always looked so beautiful in them…just waking up in the morning and gliding around the house in them…SO beautiful.  He passed away on a certain mission (or whatever…like I said, I was 7) and I remember her being devastated…in those robes.  She didn’t leave her room for days at one point.  Even though I was really young I understood exactly what was going on…she needed time.  Even then she was like some dramatic movie star being extreme about their life and crying in a beautiful robe…that’s how the memory plays out in my head at least…like a black and white movie.  So much sadness and still looking so beautiful.

SO beautiful.

P I P P I    L O N G S T O C K I N G

I S    C O M I N G    I N T O    Y O U R    W O R L D .

DRESS: Vintage (bought in Brooklyn, wore on New Years).

SWEATER: Nortwick men’s (from Treasury Dept.).

BOOTS: Vintage.

SOCKS/STOCKINGS: Target (the socks I’ve had for years…they were ahead of their time…and the stockings were tights, but I cut them off.  I do that a lot).  My garter belt was actually from Target as well.

JEWELS: Bracelets were my Momma’s, passed down.  Black cross necklace is vintage and the rosary I picked up on some vacation somewhere.  The neon bracelet is a shoe string from when I was a kid…prolly from some L.A. Gears, BOOM.

My good friend, Lindsay, did my hair wrap a couple weeks ago and I’m in love with it.

And to top it off, I’ve been doing my makeup like a pixie fairy lately…I have no idea where its coming from or why, but I’m apparently really into it.

I’ve always been interested in Pippi Longstocking as a character, but some how she has completely filled my imagination lately.  All I want to do is dress like  a version of her…maybe mixed with a little bit of the orphans that little orphan Annie used to run with.  Of course its all mixed with a TON of me…hence the sequins and the cross necklaces.  Anyhow, I hope this inspires the orphan in you

Dress: BreannaLee “Burning With Curiosity”.

Silk Robe: I found this years ago up in San Los Obispo.  This lady got them imported from Thailand…I think her family made them over there or something (it was a while ago). Anyhow, I love it.

Jacket: UO faux white leather…one of my favs.

Shoes: Steve Madden.

Bag: Vintage Coach.

Jewels: Bangles were my mother’s / Vintage Crosses…swapmeet <3

Hair: You know I used a crimper, bitches!

Makeup: Green pixie dust eyeshadow craziness (from MAC) /

Nails: This nutty electric light violet that I made by mixing colors together…I refer to it as “Zinc” or “Zinka”…haha.

I’m sure you’ve noticed, thus far, that I love to make ridiculous faces.

I used to be part of a youth circus when I was little.

I was a clown, among other things, and they used to have us sit in front of the mirrors for hours practicing our faces, so that people could see you waaaaay out in the crowd.

Needless to say, I excelled…

I’ve been working so hard on getting Fall 2010 FINISHED that its hard to get excited about it.

Well I AM excited about it, but its going by so fast that I guess I haven’t been able to enjoy it!…think Stevie Knicks and David Bowie giving birth to their love child…”Cosmic, Gypsy-Glam, Witchcraft”.

I think you’ll love it, but unfortunately all I want to talk about is my color inspiration for Spring 2011.  Probably because it IS Spring right now…well, geez, almost Summer. :/

I really don’t like the heat…not gonna lie.

So Spring 2011 is like this…

You find this faded old photo …even with a little water damage

…then picture this

A young girl, maybe in the 70′s (but who really knows?)

eating a rainbow sherbet ice cream cone

while laying on an ivory colored crotchet blanket

in the grass.

Smirking.

Throwing caution to the wind.

Ready to pick up and go ANYWHERE.

Anyhow, I hope this makes you feel pretty…

Just one more Pippi for good measure.
