I think Cat Power is timeless looking.

Its hard to pinpoint what era she lives in when looking at these photos as a collective …

I find her interesting (who really knows why).

Sometimes I wonder with all the Photoshop and camera tricks if my children (if that may happen someday) will think some photos of me or my friends are from PAST times, times beyond my years of life.

You know, when little kids think you’re like 30 when you were only 18?

“Hey mom!, is this from the 70′s?!”

“NO, I was born in the 80′s”….whomp whomp.

These photos were taken in this SUPER old elevator in the condos where my Grandmother lives.  I was going to fix her email cause it was acting weird.  That’s right, my grandmother and I email each other.

I was also on my way to a 3rd of July party …with my dad, who rules at life.

Anyhow, they gave me an idea for a photoshoooooooooot

You will see those sometime in the future…its a surprise <3

Miu Miu Fall 2010 Ads.

Clothing wise, I hate almost everything in these ads…almost.

They kind of look like wooly grandmas that live in LA…ew.  Not to say that I wouldn’t like the rest of the collection, but this just isn’t doing it for me.

SOOOO the reason I wanted to post this is because I LOVE the makeup!…I used to do my makeup EXACTLY like this about 4 or 5 years ago.

I’ve since thrown out that green eyeshadow and then desperately searched for it last year sometime….and now I’m wishing I still had it, of course.

I know, I know, I can go buy it at Mac or something, but I am NOT a Mac girl…never have been, never will be.

Nothing against it, but it looks like pancake mix on my skin :/

Whomp whomp.

Anyhow, when I used to bust this makeup out I would refer to the blush as “Geisha blush”.  I love blush up by the eyeballs…I used to even put it on the top of my brow close to the end and on my lid.  Crazy, I know.  The electric teal/green and purple eyeshadow came in, basically, because I have green eyes and they had the most fun playing together.

How bad ass is this?!  I love them…so much creativity coming from one couple.

Sad to say that I have no idea what I want to do for the 4th of July.

Last year I was with a big, great group of people, Jenny and Jason included in that group, but this year all my friends are doing different things, so I still haven’t decided what area code I want to spend the 4th in

All I do know is that I’m most definitely doing my makeup like this…
