Air Forest
Air Forest was a temporary public pavilion installed in a Denver, Co. park, for an arts and cultural event during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. How did I just now found out about this awesomeness?

Mass Studies, a Korean-based company, studies architecture in the context of conditions in contemporary society like overpopulation and urban sprawl. According to their website, “Mass Studies focuses on the operative complexity of these multiple conditions instead of striving for a singular, unified perspective.”

The Air Forest structure is made of nylon and easily moves with the wind – embracing varying weather conditions rather than acting against them. In addition, the installation acts as a barometer, inventive public art, and provides a shady area to play, rest and explore. Also, I find it to be just straight-up visually pleasing!
