DO ME IN THE PARK MARC, CUM AGAIN CHRISTOPHER KANE AND DO ME DAILY CHRISTOPHER BAILEY!

That’s what I found myself thinking after seeing their fabulous
Fall 2009 collections! (Perhaps under the influence of those cool
Henry Holland tees from 2007) I soooo still want them!

Aren’t they cute? I also loved “Give us a backhander Rachel
Alexander“, “Give us a blow Daisy Lowe“, “Cause me pain Hedi Slimane” and “Wham Bam Thank you Stam”

You can’t help but love these pair!

So here is the promised Fall 2009 Part II review. Enjoy!!!!
Do me in the parc Marc? Hell yeah! Marc Jacob’s sultry
collection for Louis Vuitton is lush! Have I died and gone
to oh-la-la heaven I wondered? The Lace, the ruffles,
the accessories, the hair pieces, the boots, Oooh! those
tight high black leather boots!!! Which reminds me…
those tigh high babies purchased last winter are soooo
going out for many a walk around the block this coming
fall… I knew it!!!

Aren’t those Louis Vuitton print tights amazing? I can’t help but
imagine them with a bit of Alice Dellal rock and roll mixed in…

It’s “feel the power of the Kane” indeed… again Mr. Kane does it
with his incredibly simple yet dead stylish and effortless uber-chic
take on the soo predictable winter checks. The guy is just brilliant!
I love him! and I am in love with this look:

Love, love, love the contrast of the masculinity of the sweater
against the gorgeous and delicate dress, the model’s bed hair
and overnight make up style the brogues… Perfection! My fave
winter look. This is what I would wear whilst spending the winter
tucked in a wooden house somewhere snowy, sitting by the fire
drinking wisky, smoking a cigar and reading a good book. Roll on
winter!!!

Really! we are all wanting a bit of daily Christopher Bailey
at Burberry Prorsum, will he ever get it wrong? Quintessentially
British as ever yet young, fresh and efortlessly cool!

Another man very close to my heart this season is Mr Chalayan.
Is all a bit blow-up-doll-meets-futuristic-fabulous at Hussein
Chalayan’s this Fall and I love it! This is how to do avant-garde
provocative and with tons of taste. Would you dare? I would!!!
Love, love, love those boots!

Miuccia is always right in each collection, she is just perfect!
This fall at Prada she gives us utilitarian war inspired clothes,
very 1940’s, WWII, with hints of Gladiator women and a feeling
of going back to basics. It is all about surviving on rations but
still managing to look proud, stylish and elegant even in the
toughest of times.

It reminds me a bit of the gorgeous Monica Belluci in her role as
Malena in the beautiful Italian movie and how she always managed to remain beautiful and stylish despite what she went through.
Talk about stylish invincible warriors! Bring it on!!!
I am oh-so-loving those “fisherman” boots! Is adios Hunters
and hola fisherman booties. I so want a pair of those to wear
over pretty girly woolly dresses and wool tights this winter.

So long summer!

SUNDAY FROLICS…

I love Sundays!
They are the perfect time to do lovely little things such as…
sorting out the wardrobe…

Working a bit of “house magic”…

Getting acquainted with the locals at the bar…

Finding a little park and becoming one with nature…

Laughing at silly things like Mr Tourette and Modern Toss – Work…

Work…
Thinking about my favourite things…

Discovering what that new exhibition is all about…

Stoping dead frozen in front of a fashion-related poster….

Cavorting around the new neighborhood, window shopping for art…

Sculpture…

Interior decoration…

Gardening…

And the most amazing shop ever… suppliers of the finest
fossils and minerals from all over the world. Ammonite
specialise in finding highly aesthetic and decorative, museum
quality specimens and they are incredible!

Catching up with long distance friends…

Visiting an art gallery…

Falling in love with an iconic portrait…

‘A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma’ – Winston Churchill on Russia.
Discovering a new favourite fashion photographer…
Eugenio Recuenco

Falling head over heals for the new hottest jewellery designer…
Hannah Martin
I am in love with Hannah’s work and my fave ever is …
“An oligarch of the underground, a shadowy patriarch of a Russia
imbued deep in the flesh of London society, Vincent is Hannah
Martin’s prevailing infatuation. In a sinister world powered by the
furtive dealings of presumed businessmen, his disquieting charm
impeccably masks a cold and brutal core. He moves untouchable,
wielding an enigmatic power over those naively daring to cross his
path. Infiltrate an unscrupulous realm of disquiet, to command
allegiance amongst the fallen angels of a brutal empire…”

This girl is fabulous! She even has a bookshop for you to know what
is she reading and where her inspiration comes from…Hannah’s Bookshop

Want more? check out The Forgotten treasures of the infamous Aguila Dorada and It’s only Rock and Roll

I want them all!!! They are worth a fortune though.
I wish I could stop seeing my name written all over
that amazing eagle ring everytime I close my eyes…

Ahem, getting back to Sundays… sundays are also good for
having that conversation with self -again- as to whether
we are now able to afford those fabulous Christopher Kane
Monkey tees…

“Having a go” at the old vintage underwear collection…

and listening to my favourite music…

today was The Pogues and The Commitments…
The king…
and Bright Eyes…
I love Sundays!

FALL FOR IT… MY NEXT SEASON’S FAVOURITES!

Ok, I have been intentionally avoiding to even think about winter
in an attempt to hang on fiercely to the illusion of summer (note
the intentional use of the word illusion) as it seems it is always
more the idea of summer than the summer itself, for all of us
hopeful Londoners…

But hey! they say that it is London’s weather what inspires
our city’s fabulous, eccentric and unique fashion style…
Hence all the big British designers suddenly heading back home
for a bit of London inspiration. Awww… er, it was about time?!
So… what is a London loving fashionista to do if she is trapped in
the city, without the prospect of a beach holiday anytime soon?
Look forward to winter of course! and what a better way to do that
than having a sneak peak at what we will all be wearing when the
leaves start to fall…
So… for moi, this coming season is not the Luella’s, the Dolce
& Gabanna’s and most surprisingly not the Alexander McQueen’s
who are making me go: Oooh!, Uuuh!, Ahhhh! OMFG! this Fall but
the completely unexpected… Givenchy? Hell yeah!, Prada? Yep, def!
Louis Vuitton? Ahuh! Chanel? Oue! and Yves Saint Laurent? Oh
yes please! I’ll have a bit of that too!!! I know!… so has my taste
suddenly “grown up”? or are the most expensive brands in the world
benefiting from a new cool, rejuvenated look? I am pleased to
confirm that it is the latter. Judge yourself, but to me…
So here are are my men of the season…
Ricardo Tisci so does it for me at Givenchy. Schiaparelli-tick,
animal sensuality-tick,the forties-tick, the thirties-tick, fetish-y
leather-tick, exposed shoulder pads-tick, pointy bras-tick. His
aim for this season was “to deliver lots of different shapes and
looks for all the different women”. Me thinks he executed his will
to perfection, positioning himself right up there as one of the hottest
designers this season, with a collection that exudes confidence.

I am loving the exposed blue shoulder pads and I sooo want
one of those pointy bras they are absolutely fabulous! They
remind me of that gorgeous vintage Marilyn Monroe’s bra that
was auctioned recently at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel in
Heathrow, along with a pair of Dior nude stockings. If only I
could have spared 2,000 Pounds I could have happily added it
to my beloved vintage underwear collection… Miu!

You HAVE TO see them on the catwalk (on the models wearing
the lacy little numbers). Donations for the pointy bra fund are
currently being accepted, so please give generously – so that I
can buy two!
A man who I didn’t think I would be falling for is Stefano Pilati.
His leathers for Yves Saint Laurent’s Fall 2009 have won my
little fashionista heart. In a bondage-meets-Paris-chic fabulous
collection, which is making me wish for colder days already to
unpack those über-cool high waisted, loose fitting, vintage black
leather slacks that I bought last year. That must have been a
fashion premonition…

Now think Chanel… middle aged sophisticated woman?
No think again, Chanel… yeah! or is it?

Karl Lagerfeld is the man again this season with an exquisite
infusion of green and pink and young-ness! in their quintessential monochrome trademark. Those catsuits are to die for! Still deadly sophisticated and über-chic yet totally young!
I wonder if this little madame had something to do with all the crème
de la crème designers smelling of teen spirit!

I mean come on, look at her icy stare as she vetoes her fashion
favourites seated front row at the hottest fashion weeks. All I
can say is: Anna Wintour, watch your job…

Now will the best ladies please stand up…
Stella McCartney nailed it again! is an “I want them all” collection
and I am so loving her crowd! daddy McCartney, Pink, Beth Ditto,
and Nan Goldin!!! I love the transparent skirt suits, that gorgeous
lace panelled dress, the never ending boots… hats of to Stella for
her creativity, especially if you are working with the restrictions of
the whole “animal free” nonsense!
Dame Vivienne Westwood continues to deliver too. I am loving
her mix-match of looks and blown over tutus, especially those
flying over Pamela Anderson! Fab. I look at those socks and think
hmmmm…. interesting, very interesting.

If you enjoyed the show, watch out for Part II coming soon…

JE NE REGRETTE RIEN…

“As far as I’m concerned, love means fighting, big fat lies, and a couple of slaps across the face” - Edith Piaf.
“I had a lot of dates but I decided to stay home and dye my eyebrows” – Andy Warhol.
This is a post dedicated to love… but not to the love that happens,
but to the love that- like Andy Warhol says – is all the more special
if it never does…
Oh the sweet trials and tribulations that “love” can bring into
our lives… I might be a bit of a drama queen myself for loving
such tragedies of love but hey! what can you do.
So when I think about love I can’t help but think about Titanic, Romeo and Juliet, Atonement, (or do I mean James McAvoy?)
Kevin and Molly, Carrie and Big’s version of Hubble:
And Robbie Wiliams and Nicole Kidman singing Somethin’ Stupid:
And that hilarious song from “The wedding singer” …
I also think of Mr and Mrs Smith (Although I am not a fan of either)
but I do like the tango… Why does it always have to take two?
And that fabulous fight scene at the end… Awww,
so romantic! made me just want to fall in love all
over again…
Art wise, love makes me think of Auguste Rodin’s Kiss,
“The combat of love and Chastity” by Gherardo Di
Geovanni where Love’s arrows break against Chastity’s
shield, as she waves the chain with which he will be
bound. Robert Indiana’s Love sculpture,
Tim Noble and Sue Webster heart and of course,
queen of love-tragedy… Tracey Emin.

Tracey Emin. My Heart is With You / And I Love You /
Always Always Always, 2006.

I remember bumping into Tracey early one morning as she
walked out of one of the galleries at the Tate Modern. She
was wearing some cool leopard print outfit similar to this:

Her links to the fashion world aren’t a secret. Here she is with HPH
(Her Punk Highness) Vivienne Westwood, after strutting her stuff in
the catwalk, a la Carrie for Dolce and Gabanna in Sex and the City.

(I don’t think she tripped over though) but she looks well
outside her comfort zone.

Tracey Emin’s controversial art work is very personal,
tackling on subjects such as rape, sexual abuse, sex
in its raw essence and heartbreak.

Everyone I have ever slept with was a tent appliqued with
names, which won the heart of Charles Saatchi, who chose
it as one of the works in his Sensation exhibition.

Followed by the Turner prize winning piece My Bed which
sparked a huge controversy with divided opinions, some
questioning: “is it art?” – thus broadening people’s minds
about what is art and what is not, in a way just as Marcel
Duchamp did in his time with the iconic “Fountain”.

After a string of alcohol abuse and embarrassing interviews
where she turns up drunk and storms out mid-way through,
Tracey’s bad girl image seems to have settled down in a rather
nice, strong, confident and sexy way after having exorcisized
her own demons through her work.

Using her work as means of self expression in a kind of
‘healing process’, she manages to cleverly turn around
what seemed to be painful and sad experiences into the
now iconic works of art, resulting in a succesful career
and the fantastic Tracey that she exudes to be today.
Talk about loving your own skin at 40 somethings, she
looks absolutely fabulous!

And who can forget the exclusive range of gorgeous and
tres chic bags that she designed for Longchamp, based on
her embroidery work.

They are a real work of art! No wonder the prize tag.

We love you Tracey!
Clad in Vivienne Westwood, she talks about her show ‘Those who suffer love’:
And we can’t talk about love without mentioning queen of sorrow
number two… our beloved Amy Winehouse.

I love Amy and this is one of my favourite songs
of hers:
But the absolute queen of love tragedy is and will forever be the
lovely and ever so inspiring, the one and only… Edith Piaf.

“I wouldn’t mind at all coming back to earth after my death” – Edith Piaf.
One of Piaf’s most notable quotes and it is amusing to see
how she certainly keeps doing so in the various representations
of her life that we see now and then. Her songs can be heard
in tv adverts, as a backdrop of fashion designer shows, just like
darling Marc Jacobs did in his Spring Summer 2009 show for
Louis Vuitton:
And on the big screen and the theatre, out of the two
which were on last year, I was blown away by the latter.

Unlike Marion Cotillard (who mimed all the songs) winning
an Oscar for her performance as Edith Piaf in the movie
La Vie en Rose…

Elena Roger, the Argentinian actress who played Piaf at the
London Vaudeville theatre, sang all the songs live and was
nothing more than “the living embodiment of Piaf”, as the
critics and media quite rightly said after seeing her astonishing
performance, in what is one of the most exquisite productions
ever done representing the life and work of the “little sparrow”.

Contrasting beautifully with Cotillard’s pretty, dolled up
Hollywood performance which reminded me more of Amelie
Poulain than Piaf; Roger’s theatre version is more rough,
no make up -just mascara- and the same modest little black
dress. And even though Cotillard is French herself, her
somewhat Americanized French accent failed to convince
me and can’t even compare to Roger’s husky stage voice.
Roger’s version of Piaf was more… spiritual.

Don’t get me wrong I do love Marion Cotillard and her Oh-la-la
style but I think she does a better job posing at the top of the
Eiffel Tower modelling a Dior bag in this instance.

There is no vanity to Rogers role as Piaf and in this almost
stripped down production, compared with the glam and glitz
of the movie…
…and considering the un-like physical resemblance of Roger to
Piaf ( apart from her tiny frame and little black dress) there
was something very haunting about her performance, it was
almost as if Piaf herself had approved of it and had decided to
come back, taking over everytime Elena sang, permanently
hiding behind her shadow.
Especially at one point during the play when Roger is singing
and performing a strange ghost-meets-circus clown type of
dance miming with her hands, as the stage lights cast a
ghostly shadow, so powerful that it makes your hair stand on
end and you can’t help but feel as if you had just witnessed
an otherwordly apparition.

Directed by Jamie Lloyd who displays an incredible talent
in directorship, considering that he seems to be quite young
and cute :) coupled with Roger’s incredible talent as a performer
in an hour and a half of singing and performing withouth an interval,
they deliver a PIAF the way that we should all remember her…
as an incredibly talented, strong, passionate, and kind-hearted
person, with a fantastic sense of humour and the ability to laugh
at her own tragedies and misfortunes and with the incredible
strength to always put on a show, regardless of what was happening
around her at the time… be it World War II or the death of the love
of her life Marcel. On the eve of the death of Marcel Cerdan, Piaf
was scheduled to sing at a large venue and so she did.
I wish a was a fly on the wall the night when Marcel died and
she performed L’Hymne al amour, singing it for him… and if I was
able to re-incarnate I would love to come back as Piaf’s little black
dress and be a witness to all of her fantastic performances!
And here it is in English:

WHISKEY IN THE JAR… (GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT)

Funny enough, my first memory of all things Irish is Jane Fonda! Yep, it was the 80’s and my mum – in a desperate
attempt to shed her (me) weight – got herself a VHS tape of
Fonda’s Complete Workout – so I grew up totally hooked to it.
I wanted the lilac top, orange braces, black pants and those
amazing high top trainers that the blonde afro-hair style
woman wears, she was my favourite Fonda girl…
In the video there was a section where Jane did an Irish jig dance,
which was very Lord of the Dance, although it was nowhere near
as good as this “strip jig” :
…but it had some elements of it and for the little frustrated ballerina
in me it was just awesome! I was in Ireland everytime I did that bit…
surrounded by rainbows, fairies and leprechauns.

Whiskey in the Jar is a famous traditional Irish song, set
in the Cork and Kerry mountains and is one of my favourite
folk songs ever!

The song was first recorded profesionally around the 1950’s
and became the signature of Irish Folk band The Dubliners, who recorded it in 3 of their albums.
The song tells the story of a robber who preyed on
travellers, operating by horse. Mounted robbers were
considered to be “socially superior” to their on-foot
counterparts. Such robbers opperated in Great Britain
and Ireland from the Elizabethan era until the early
19th century and are referred to as “Highwaymen”.

After supposedly robbing a government official called Captain
Farrell, the robber takes the loot to his beloved Jenny, who
swears not to deceive him but as the song says: “but the devil
takes the women for they never can be easy”. Whilst he sleeps
dreaming with gold and jewels, Jenny takes his pistol and fills it
up with water and calls for Captain Farrell to come ready for the
slaughter. Early in the morning, confronted by a band of footmen
which included Captain Farrell, he shot water with his pistol… and
a prisoner he was taken…
Irish Rock band Thin Lizzie did a version in the early 1970’s.
And Metallica’s version brought the song to an ever wider rock
audience in 1998.
Another popular Irish folk song is The Wild Rover, originally
played by the Clancy Brothers. Here is another cool version
by The Dubliners:
And we can’t forget The Spanish lady, another Irish classic. Here
performed by the musical ensemble Celtic Woman, (check out the fabulous dresses):
When I think about fashion and Ireland the first thing that
comes to mind is a fabulous hat… Philip Treacy is one of
the greatest mad hatters in the world:
Now in my little world… I am sitting in a rustic Irish pub, dressed
in a fabulous shamrock print strapless 50’s style dress, wearing
that amazing red hat by Philip Treacy. Among the crowd are The
Dubliners, The Clancy Brothers, Van Morrison, Bono, The Corrs,
Thin Lizzie, Oscar Wilde, Elizabeth Bowen, George Bernard Shaw,
Celtic Woman, Philip Treacy, The Cranberries, Sinnead O’Connor,
Francis Bacon and Gerry Buttler – but he is not Irish – But I don’t
care! He is there anyway. Plus, he is Irish in the movie PS I Love
You, one of the best chick flicks ever! Set in the US and Ireland,
this funny romantic comedy shows you some of the finest of Irish
landscapes… is a must see! If you are into eerie scenery and sexy
aaaaarrrrrr men!
So… we all sing along to “whiskey in the jar”, smoke cigars, drink lots
of whiskey and shamrocked pints of Guinness…

Mmmm… Guinness and the pleasure that it is pouring a pint
of Guinness. Unlike pouring any other beer, the serving of a
pint of Guinness is a ritual, it is almost magical. The feeling of
its thick consistency, the pressurized pump, the way is slowly
and coldly builds up in your hand… but you have to stop it
mid-way and let it settle… to then start all over again…
ending with the perfect head… and only a professional can
deliver one with a shamrock on it! If you like drawing, I dare
you to pour one.
Here is my favourite Guinness advert:
The Corrs – Lough Erin Shore is another beautiful Irish song.
I remember the visions that haunted me the very first time
that I listened to it in London on a rainy day… A gray ancient
Celtic castle, mist, breathtakingly beautiful landscapes, gray
skies, ravens, the most amazing ash colour Vivienne Westwood
style, huge corsetted dress and a mysterious man who asks
for the first dance, as a live band plays this song in the grounds
of the amazing candle lit castle…

So is Toss the Feathers, also by The Corrs:
And Steve Earle and Sharon Shannon’s Galway Girl,
the gorgeous song is the one featured in PS I LOVE YOU.
With so much of Ireland’s rich culture and heritage, it
surprises me that when I type “Irish inspired fashion” on
Google, all that comes up is this sort of little numbers…

Hopefully in the next couple of seasons, some of the great
designers who put some though behind their collections will
give us the pleasure of wearing some fabulous Irish-inspired
pieces which are a bit more fashionable than this:

Finally… if it is true that re-encarnation exists, then perhaps
I would be able to explain my complete fascination with Celtic
culture and all things Irish and Scottish. And that would be the
reason why I get all goose-bumpy, emotional and teary eyed
(in a good way) and strangely proud too, whenever I hear a folk
song, view the landscape, the castles, a big dress or contemplate
the steps of a jig…
May those who love us, love us…
And those who don’t love us
May God turn their hearts,
And if He doesn’t turn their hearts,
May He turn their ankles,
So we’ll know them by their limping.
–Irish Prayer
Go n’éirí an t-ádh leat (Gaelic for ‘May luck be with you’)

DON’T MESS WITH ME AND MY HOMIES!

I am all up for appreciating contemporary art, particularly
the work of artists who cross that fine line between art and
fashion, but this horrendously shocking piece by artist duo
Guerra de La Paz, which I saw yesterday at the SAATCHI
GALLERY in London, did manage to get a reaction out of me…
but a really bad one!

As I approached this otherwise colourful and innocent
looking piece – at least that was what it seemed from
the distance – I was shocked to discover the wealth of
incredible vintage pieces similar to this…

… which had been mercilessly murdered to create this
“sculpture” which made me feel incredibly sick in my little
fashionista stomach. As I walked around the huge pile
of what it must be hundreds of amazing vintage relics,
just thrown on top of each other, I couldn’t help but feel
like rescuing them from such an unfair display… but
unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to touch. I freaked at the
thought that they could have been glued one on top of
each other and the sheer thought made me panic, in the
same way that you do, when you realize that you just
ruined a lovely vintage piece with the iron or the washing
machine. No words can describe that feeling of loss…

I remember crying my eyes out when I accidentally shrunk
an original vintage Scottish kilt, whilst trying to clean it in
the washing machine and until today I can’t help but feel
the guilt, so I wonder… how do these guys live with their
concience?
Also shocking was the fact that Saatchi, one of the world’st
best art collectors and his curators, failed to see that this
piece could potentially be incredibly offensive to the vintage
loving fashionistas that come to the gallery for a bit of inspiration
and may end up like I did… needing counselling!
For someone who loves and appreciates the true value
of vintage clothes, this piece is sheer murder and an
incredible display of how little knowledge the artists and
the curators have, to fail to appreciate the immense
importance that vintage clothing has for the development
of future fashion collections. Lets not forget that today’s
designers RELY on vintage pieces to come up with what
the majority of us will be wearing tomorrow!

Not to mention the historical importance of vintage clothing,
as part of our social heritage, as human beings who have
been through different eras having the necessity to dress.
I wouldn’t have a problem if the artists used old rags from
Primark or recycled pieces of fabric that are no longer wearable,
but to dare lay their hands in vintage items – most of them
totally fabulous – is a huge crime and no work of art can justify
that.

It is a statement that goes against everything that art and
the art world stands for! What happened to the idea of the
fashion and art community…?

Now imagine my face when I discovered that they also do
a tie dye version of this “sculpture”. I nearly drop dead.
It’s soo unfair! It’s like me taking a bunch of Picassos, Dalis
and Monets and stacking them one on top of the other and
call it art… or even worse…tie dye the things… I would be
burnt alive like a wicked witch by the art community!

The RSPCC protect children against cruelty, PETA do so for
animals but who is out there to protect vintage against such
cruel deeds? Well we vintage lovers do. So don’t mess with
me and my homies or – as David Choi says – “or else… I’ll stab
you, kill you, put you in a coffin and burn your house down…”
And to the Cuban born artists I say: “Respeta o se te espeta!”
Now here is HOW YOU DO fabulous fashion/ art pieces…
you teach them Lee…
Isn’t it kind of Pollock – esque?

HOKUS POKUS… ABRACADABRA!

Abracapokus… pokuscadabra!! haha this classic 1963
cartoon is one of my earliest memories of how my
obsession with magic started. After watching it for the
first time, I was totally obsessed with magic and spent
hours with the old science lab kit, mixing formulas, trying
to come up with a magic potion. And then came the
legends of witches… such as Morgan Le Fay, powerful
sorceress in the Arthurian legend:

After the movie The Craft I thought: “I know exactly
what I want to be when I grow up… A witch. ”
The more I read about witches the more I wanted to
become one. Witches had power, they were enchanting,
they could charm anyone, convert themselves into whatever
they wanted, make just about anyone fall in love them.

Witches also get to bake naughty children in a stove or chuck
them inside a big bubbling cauldron and make a love potion
with their cheeky little bones. Mwahahaha! They live in
houses made out of chocolate and chocolate wafers… and
have cute black cats as pets. Not to mention the cool hats,
wicked shoes and flying broomsticks!

As I grew up, I felt slightly dissappointed to discover that
you can’t actually fly on broomsticks, that houses are not
made from chocolate and chocolate wafers for a very good
reason, that I can’t always charm absolutely everyone and
that in fact, it is actually illegal to stick gobby children in the
oven, no matter how naughty they are… (to the relief of my
two naughty little nephews!)… although still they do have an
obsession for drawing me as a witch!
Camila (9):

and Manel (3):

So, it isn’t all lost…
I can still get to strut my stuff wearing a huge hat and
enourmous hair and look drop dead charming, as the lovely
witches in the Luella Fall 2008 show:
One of my favourite Luella shows ever! Everything is the
show is perfection: the tights, the dresses, the ribbons,
the hats, the amazing shoes and of course… the fabulous
hair! Mane king Guido Palau, one of the coolest hair stylists
in fashion is responsible for the look, taking inspiration in an
80’s band called Strawberry Switchblade, who were a couple
of Scottish girls well known for their gothic-sweet hair styles.

And… I can still get to dress my inner wicked witch thanks
to Agent Provocateur and their sultry “The season of the
witch collection”… which is spellbindingly fabulous!

Daisy Lowe makes a fabulous witch! She looks every inch her
gorgeous self just as she also does in this video for Swarovsky
called: “The crystal playground”.
And how about this little Abracadabra’s… no idea what are they
on about but their outfits are quite interesting…
They remind me of Alexander Wang’s Fall 2008 collection:
Another little witch that knows a couple of good spells is the
lovely Emma Watson…
Who went HOKUS POKUS Hermione Granger…

ABRACADABRA fabulous Fashionista!

And I will always have good old Frank Sinatra to sing me a bit
of “Witchcraft” and tell me: ” Ooooh you are a lovely witch!”
So…
Get your rocks off
Get your rocks off, honey
Shake it now now
Getem off downtown
Get your rocks off
Get you rocks off, honey
Shake it now now
Getem off downtown
