Been going crazy working on my Trend Book for Fall 2011/12 for Italy! Also working on an outerwear project based on either the 1920’s or bohemian look, I havent decided, based on my life in ten years…this should be interesting!

It was such a hassle…I’ve never experienced so much pain and exhaustion…I thought moving into the dorms was bad! But I’m sooo happy w ith our new place. So much, we’re going to try to make it work for longer. Though I’ve dreamed of being a nomad and a gypsy, I also long to have a place of my own to decorate and make well…my own. Plus, if I’m going to live the gypsy life-style I’d rather do so outside of New York City…

 I cant wait to be settled, and take pictures of my outfits on my lovely private roof deck. As soon as I get out of class and get back tonight, I will be napping on the hammock.

As I passed one of my favorite spots (I like to slow down and look at the babie cows), I saw what I think was the funniest moment of today. There was a very large cow, brown and white spotted with a pink nose, with its mouth open as wide as it could get it, trying frantically to get the large black bird that was perched on-top off. It may not sound that interesting, but it had me laughing, and made me a bit sad because I was reminded of the simple beauty of living upstate. As I turned the corner, I saw a man in a field with a hawk perched upon his arm. These unusual sitings on this beautiful afternoon added to the melancholy I feel about leaving tomorrow.

 

I stopped for a moment by a pond….
